About
A “workspace” checkbox is not a workspace.
Booking platforms let a host tick an amenity box and move on. That box has been honoured by a dining chair pulled up to a nightstand more times than any of us want to admit. LodgeLens looks at the photos instead.
Why we built it
If you work while you travel, the desk is not a nice-to-have — it decides whether the week is productive or spent hunched over a bed with a laptop on your knees. But you cannot filter for it. You can only filter for the claim, and then squint at twenty photo galleries hoping one of them shows a chair with a back on it.
That is a research problem, and research is exactly the kind of work that should be done once and handed to you finished. So we do it: you tell us where and when, we check what is actually available for those dates, inspect the workspaces in the listing photos, and email you the shortlist worth your time.
How the verification works
Every stay we report on has been through the same pass, and none of it relies on what the listing says about itself.
- Availability first. We check what is genuinely bookable for your dates and budget, so we are never grading a property you cannot have.
- Photos, not amenity tags. We analyse the listing’s own images and look for a real work surface, a chair that supports a full day, and light and power in the right place.
- A standard allowed to say no. Most properties do not pass. That is the point — a filter that approves everything tells you nothing.
- Evidence you can check. The report shows the workspace photo and the reason for the verdict, so you can disagree with us on sight rather than take our word for it.
Analyses are re-checked over time rather than kept forever, and prices and availability are accurate at the moment we look — both can move, so always confirm on the provider’s site before you book.
What LodgeLens is not
- Not a booking site. You always book on the provider’s own site, under their terms, with their payment and cancellation rules.
- Not affiliated with any accommodation provider. We are not endorsed by or partnered with the platforms whose listings we analyse, and no host can pay to pass.
- Not a review site. We judge one thing — whether the workspace is real — and we do not rank on stars, sentiment, or popularity.
How we make money
Reports are free and there is no account to create. When you book through one of our links, we may earn an affiliate commission from the provider at no extra cost to you. That commission never changes a verdict: the analysis runs before we know what, if anything, you book, and we would rather send you a short honest list than a long profitable one.
Talk to us
We are a small team and we read everything. If a verdict looks wrong, if a report did not arrive, or if you want us to cover a destination, email [email protected] — or use the contact page. Our terms of service and privacy policy cover the legal side.
