Terms of service

1. Agreement

These terms are between you and Lorebrain, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered in the Netherlands with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 94136572, trading as LodgeLens (“LodgeLens”, “we”, “us”). By using this website or requesting a report you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old, or old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, to request a report.

2. What the service is

LodgeLens searches publicly available accommodation listings for the destination, dates, and budget you give us, analyses the listing photos to judge whether the property has a workspace you could genuinely work from, and emails you a report with the results and the evidence behind each verdict.

Reports are free and require no account. We may change, limit, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, including rate limits on how many reports a single email address may request.

3. What the service is not

• We are not a booking agent or travel agency. We never take payment for a stay, never make or hold a reservation, and are not a party to any booking you make.
• We are not affiliated with any accommodation provider. We are not endorsed by, partnered with, or acting for the platforms or hosts whose listings we analyse. Their names and marks belong to them.
• We do not give travel, legal, financial, or safety advice. A report is one input into your own decision.

4. Accuracy of reports

Our verdicts are opinions formed from the photos and information a listing makes public at the time we look. Photos can be outdated, staged, or of a different unit; furniture moves; hosts change things. A property we approve may disappoint you, and a property we reject may have been fine.

Prices, availability, and listing details are accurate only at the moment we check them and can change at any time. Analyses are re-checked periodically rather than kept indefinitely, and a report link is a snapshot of what we found when it was generated.

Always confirm the details that matter to you on the provider’s own site before booking or paying.

5. Bookings happen with third parties

Booking always happens on the accommodation provider’s own site, under their terms, privacy policy, payment terms, and cancellation rules. Any dispute about a reservation, a payment, a refund, or the condition of a property is between you and that provider or host. We have no ability to alter, cancel, or refund a booking.

6. Affiliate disclosure

Some links in our reports and on this site are affiliate links. If you book through one, we may earn a commission from the provider at no extra cost to you. Commissions do not influence our verdicts: the analysis is performed against a fixed workspace standard before any booking occurs, and no host or platform can pay to pass or to be ranked higher.

7. Your data

To deliver a report we collect the email address you provide and the search details you enter (destination, dates, budget, and similar preferences). We use them to generate and send your report and to contact you about it.

• Report links are private. They contain an unguessable token, are excluded from search engines, and should be treated as confidential — anyone with the link can view the report.
• Reports expire. Reports and their links are retained for a limited period (currently around 30 days) and are then removed.
• We do not sell your data or share your email address with hosts or accommodation providers.
• Analytics are consent-based. We use Google Analytics on our production site only after you consent, and you can change that choice at any time using the analytics settings link in the site footer. Report page views are recorded without the private report token.
• Service providers. We use third parties for hosting, email delivery, and photo analysis, who process this data on our behalf.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• submit an email address that is not yours, or request reports on someone else’s behalf without their consent;
• scrape, crawl, resell, or systematically extract our reports, analysis, or content, or use them to train a model, without our written permission;
• attempt to guess, enumerate, or access report links that were not issued to you;
• interfere with the service, circumvent rate limits, or use automated means to request reports in bulk.

We may block access or refuse to issue reports if these terms are breached.

9. Intellectual property

The LodgeLens name, site design, analysis method, and report content are ours and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. Listing photos, property descriptions, and provider trademarks remain the property of their owners and are shown for identification and commentary as part of our analysis. If you own material shown in a report and want it removed, email [email protected].

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that a report will be delivered, that it will contain any results, or that any property in it will still be available.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LodgeLens is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any lost bookings, travel costs, wasted expenditure, or loss of profit or data arising from your use of the service or reliance on a report. Because the service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to USD 100.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, you keep any statutory rights that cannot be waived.

12. Third-party links

Our site and reports link to third-party websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, practices, or privacy policies, and a link is not an endorsement.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

LodgeLens is established in the Netherlands. These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Netherlands, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts instead, in which case that right is unaffected.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version is always on this page with the date it was last updated, and continuing to use LodgeLens after a change means you accept the updated terms.
