A stylish, well-located hotel with strong staff sentiment, comfortable beds, a real rooftop pool and generally good cleanliness. The main compromises are weak workspace and Wi-Fi, variable room size, limited bathroom privacy, conditional noise, and an absent gym.

Will you actually sleep here?

Beds and pillows are a real strength, and some rooms are impressively quiet for a central Lisbon hotel.
Check before bookingStreet-facing rooms can be noisy.
Beds and pillows are a real strength, and some rooms are impressively quiet for a central Lisbon hotel. Street-facing rooms can be noisy, with occasional hallway, rooftop, terrace, or construction sounds. Light sleepers should request a quiet room away from the main road.
Very quiet room for being in the middle of the city
The bed was also superb and very large so we had a great night's sleep
Close to busy city road so lots of traffic noise
you'll hear them in the toilet or washing their hands
Sleep quality is clearly good overall but room-dependent. Bed and pillow comfort receive substantial praise, while noise complaints concern traffic-facing rooms, hallways, terrace or rooftop activity, construction, and one creaky bed. Stored-corpus noise complaints averaged 8.35/10, indicating documented disruption without evidence that it usually ruined the whole stay.

What are the rooms actually like?
179 reviews about this · 41 photos available · analyzed Oct 2026.
Rooms are generally comfortable and often spacious, with good beds and appealing views. Bathrooms draw the clearest criticism, especially their limited privacy, while room size varies. It suits guests who value comfort more than polished bathroom design.

Rooms very spacious
The bed was also superb and very large so we had a great night's sleep
not big room
Would have been nice if the bathrooms had a door as there was a lack of privacy for a whole family

The hotel is generally clean, but upkeep is less consistently convincing.
Check before bookingA recent supplied review reports a cockroach in one of two rooms.
The hotel is generally clean, but upkeep is less consistently convincing. Guests mention drain smells, leaks, dated equipment, and an isolated pest report. Expect a clean stay overall, but inspect the room and report maintenance issues promptly.
Guests reporting this gave the whole stay 8.75/10 on average.
Guests reporting this gave the whole stay 8.5/10 on average.
spotlessly clean
The only negative thing was a smell from the drain associated with the sink in the bathroom when we first entered the room
so the bathroom leaks into the room and the toilet
7.5/10. Overall condition is clearly good but not uniformly problem-free: cleanliness evidence is strong, while maintenance evidence includes a recent worn-equipment complaint, a pest report, plumbing leakage, and a bathroom-renovation criticism. The evidence does not support a deterioration trend because the supplied material is not a controlled longitudinal sample.
Evidence confidence: moderate. This is a model assessment, not a statistical probability. Limited or inconsistent sources reduce confidence.
Do the staff fix things when they go wrong?
243 reviews about this · 3 photos available · analyzed Oct 2026.
Friendly, helpful staff are one of the hotel’s strongest points, and guests often praise their willingness to assist. Check-in is usually smooth, though problem-solving and staff engagement are less consistent. It is a good choice if warm service matters more than flawless operational efficiency.

The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help
I was allowed to check-in early because I had an early flight which was very friendly
staff not overly engaged
Is breakfast worth booking?

Breakfast is usually varied, fresh, and satisfying, with a broad buffet and a pleasant dining space.
Check before bookingCoffee quality and availability receive several supplied complaints.
Breakfast is usually varied, fresh, and satisfying, with a broad buffet and a pleasant dining space. Coffee, lukewarm hot food, replenishment, and the price are the main drawbacks. Book it if convenience matters, but breakfast-focused travelers may prefer nearby cafés.

Amazing and healthy breakfast which was replenished until 10.30 am
Rooftop bar was amazing
The breakfast was the most disappointing part of the stay
The brewed coffee was often out and not replaced with fresh supply
Evidence confidence: moderate. This is a model assessment, not a statistical probability. Limited or inconsistent sources reduce confidence.

Check before bookingGuest reports describe crowding, limited seating, limited shade, smoking, and restricted hours.
The rooftop pool delivers a great city view and is a worthwhile bonus, but it is smaller and less relaxed than the photos may suggest. Guests mention crowding, limited shade and seating, smoking, restricted hours, and occasional maintenance closures. It suits a quick rooftop dip more than a full pool day.

Unbelievable value for money to have a rooftop pool so central to Lisbon
Unfortunately the rooftop bar and pool was closed for maintenance during our stay
A genuine rooftop pool with a strong city outlook and generally positive guest descriptions merits a good score. It is reduced by documented crowding, limited seating and shade, bar-related disturbance, restricted hours, a small-pool complaint, and mixed maintenance evidence.
Evidence confidence: moderate. This is a model assessment, not a statistical probability. Limited or inconsistent sources reduce confidence.
How well placed is it, really?

The hotel is well placed for public transport, nearby cafés, restaurants, and a walk into central Lisbon.
Check before bookingSome supplied reviews describe the main attractions as roughly 20–30 minutes away on foot or the hotel as far from the centre.
The hotel is well placed for public transport, nearby cafés, restaurants, and a walk into central Lisbon. Some attractions take a longer walk, and the steep approach and traffic noise reduce the convenience slightly. It is best for city-break guests who are happy to use the metro or walk.
Great location at top of the Avenida da Liberdade so a stroll into the city centre was always interesting
The metro was very close by with easy access to the city centre and beyond
The score combines access to nearby places, transport and sightseeing. Nearby-place counts and distances come from the stored Google Maps/POI scrape; guest reviews supply the practical walkability and taxi context.
Evidence confidence: moderate. This is a model assessment, not a statistical probability. Limited or inconsistent sources reduce confidence.

Wi-Fi is the hotel’s weakest practical feature: guests report slow, weak, intermittent, and unreliable connections. One positive experience does not outweigh the repeated complaints. Do not choose it for dependable video calls or remote work.
WiFi was intermittent which was really disappointing

Is the desk usable for a working day?

This is a poor room for working a full day: the pictured table is small, and guests report missing or inadequate desks and chairs.
Check before bookingThe pictured table is small and round rather than a proper desk.
This is a poor room for working a full day: the pictured table is small, and guests report missing or inadequate desks and chairs. Power outlets may be available, but the setup is not a proper workstation. It is fine for occasional laptop use, not for business travelers needing a reliable desk.

No chair or desk/table in my room
WiFi was intermittent which was really disappointing
Score 3/10: the available workspace appears improvised and constrained by a small round table, while supplied guests explicitly reported no desk or chair and difficulty working. The corpus evidence supports two detected complaints, but these are lower-bound counts rather than prevalence estimates.
Evidence confidence: higher. This is a model assessment, not a statistical probability. Limited or inconsistent sources reduce confidence.

There is no documented gym or exercise facility. Fitness-focused guests will need to train elsewhere or choose another hotel.
0/10 because supplied evidence explicitly documents no exercise facilities and a missing fitness room. The corpus statistics also report two detected Gym complaints and no detected praise. The supplied reviews are relevance-selected rather than representative, while the corpus count is a lexicon-detected lower bound.
Evidence confidence: higher. This is a model assessment, not a statistical probability. Limited or inconsistent sources reduce confidence.
Is it worth the money?
26 reviews about this · analyzed Oct 2026.
The hotel can offer good value when you want a central base with a rooftop pool and friendly service. Expensive drinks and uneven room, breakfast, Wi-Fi, and maintenance experiences reduce the value for some stays. It is most worthwhile for leisure travelers who prioritize location and atmosphere over business facilities.
